Pointless Multiplication

Whilst reading about a very large and pointless number called the Clarkkkkson I discovered a nice pattern of multiplications. It wasn't as clever as the Clarkkkkson, but it looks prettier.

1x1=1
11x11=121
111x111=12321
1111x1111=1234321
11111x11111=123454321
111111x111111=12345654321
1111111x1111111=1234567654321
11111111x11111111=123456787654321
111111111x111111111=12345678987654321

I should mention, before you decide to read the article on the Clarkkkkson, that there is actually no point in the number, and that's not what they're getting at by defining it. The experiment is about how stupidly big you can make a number with the least repetitions of a simple forumula. The result is not the point, even if it does challenge the size of the universe.
