Communities

It's a slow day, so here are some of the communities I'm involved in:

Dear Wandy was started, and named, after a section in the popular PCZone magazine written by Mr. Phil Wand in order to help people with hardware problems. Since its inception as a hardware help forum with a general discussion section alongside it has grown into quite a community of gamers. We've got a jokes section, reviews sections and are mostly nice people, so drop in.

Tamriel Rebuilt is a Morrowind mod project which I have worked with since early 2003 in an attempt to create the largest mod (content-wise) for any game ever, recreating the land of Tamriel from The Elder Scrolls games.

Silgrad Tower is another Morrowind project which branched off from TR, this one I never worked for on Morrowind but many of the best TR members left with them. I've begun working with them on their large modification for TES 4: Oblivion

Friend's Blogs

I've got plenty of friends who also lurk on this here interweb with me, so I'll share some of their sites with you now.

One of the moderators on Dear Wandy since I arrived there, Howard was the first to advertise a blog and has been nominated the 'king of teh intarweb' by Hoodi for the nice design he uses and good content he provides. I plan to rip off the theme he uses soon, but keep it hush hush.

Ben Soltan (you can guess where he gets his online name from) doesn't update his blog as much as he should, but it was a combination of his and Howard's blog that convinced me to write my own. One of my primary oponents on Counter-Strike: Source since I started playing last May, Ben also does a bit of photography.

Edd knows alot of random stuff, and so puts it on his website. It's partially to blame for the standard (Blue Green) display of this site, as he once said on Dear Wandy that sites with light backgrounds and dark text were annoying on the eyes. Or words to that effect. Look at his site and you can know stuff too!

Hoodi was primarily known on Dear Wandy for posting many pictures himself and his beard. He has recently gotten into photography in a big way and started this blog to showcase photographs alongside tales of his life.

TheBaron has been a friend of mine since the start of college and is as much into computers as I am. Our websites have always been in a sort of friendly competition, and we have each contributed to the other's sites from time to time. It doesn't have that much on it, but has some nice information about Google.

Yet another friend from Dear Wandy, Novi is known for his liking of animé, as you will no doubt discover the second you head onto his site. It's got a blog, some stuff about him and an image gallery. Not updated that regularly, but he has promised to do more on it.
