Seadragon and Photosynth

February19

The fact that I haven't seen this before (although I've heard the name floating in the tubes somewhere) I count as a travesty to my own sheer amazement at it. Just yesterday I was thinking about what amazing things we could do with positional data connected to images - if sites like Flickr could not only tell us where the image was taken but give us a cone of what it was taken of. The impairing factor would always be memory and somehow these people seem to have solved it. You'll notice I've not actually told you what awaits you in the video - that's because you'll be more amazed if you don't know. Watch it, and see the future.

Type the word that appears under the picture of a badger. Why?

Your Comment:

These days spam bots are a problem for websites. They post crap in comments and ruin things for everybody. However asking them to perform tests such as identifying badgers stops them in their tracks, despite how easy it is for you.
