The Saints Are Coming

November3

This recording is a cover of the song released in 1978 by The Skids, played here by a collaboration of U2 and Green Day. It was recorded back in early September and first played when the two bands played a ten minute session on the 25th of September during the Monday Night Football Pregame show of the New Orleans Saints - Atlanta Falcons match. The song was played to benefit the charity Music Rising, started by U2's guitarist "The Edge" to bring instruments and music programmes back to New Orleans, a city famous for its music before its more recent and unfortunate fame of being hit by hurricane Katrina.

The recording shown here is a mixture of the studio session and images of the crisis when the hurricane hit. In the live performance they also mixed U2's "It's a Beautiful Day" in at the end, and played "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day to start the show. The main song's theme is the idea that America will/should recall its troops to help with the problems back home.

These days spam bots are a problem for websites. They post crap in comments and ruin things for everybody. However asking them to perform tests such as identifying badgers stops them in their tracks, despite how easy it is for you.
